Tara Marshall-Hill is a 20-year legal industry veteran, with extensive marketing and business development experience in a variety of industry verticals.
Prior to her work at Ackert, Tara worked at various Am Law 100 firms including McDermott Will & Emery, where she advised and implemented business development and client engagement strategies at the firm, practice group, and individual levels.
She also partnered with executive leadership on H5, an innovative legal technology company, with a specific focus on attuning to the needs of corporate legal departments and infusing solutions to those needs into compelling messaging and strategic positioning on H5 AI-driven eDiscovery and analytics products and advisory services.
Tara currently serves on the Board of Directors of JCADA (Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse), supporting the legal and advocacy departments. She is also the founding co-Chair of the Washington DC chapter of StartOut, an organization dedicated to driving the economic empowerment of the LGBTQ+ community through entrepreneurship.
Tara received her Diversity Management Certification from the Management & Strategy Institute. She is an alumna of Georgetown University Law Center, the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and American University School of International Service. She has stayed close to her professional and personal communities in suburban Maryland, where she resides with her wife, two children, and family cat, Asher.
